My New Body. Of Work. directly addresses the obsession we have been ingrained with regarding how our bodies should look, and how we should be dressed, and the lengths we will go to achieve this ideal image; and by doing this, we will feel complete and fulfilled. The images in this group of photographs illicit the following reactions: laughter, grotesqueness and voyeurism; the same behavior we exhibit when we see someone who has gone through the disfiguration caused by plastic surgery, is dressed in high end clothing and is hanging on to any vestige of youth. As I view these images of myself I see how this continuous bombardment of impossible body image achievement can be detrimental to my self-worth; and hopefully, the viewer will also see the same thing in themselves, thus becoming free from this impossible goal.

This project exhibits photographs of my own face, accumulated through years of self-portraits, digitally placed on the bodies of mannequins from the high-end boutiques of Beverly Hills, London, Mexico City, New York and San Francisco.
